My daughter's Dr is very weary about diagnosing her with Asthma. About the first week in August we had went to a picnic and my daughter was on the trampoline , I made her get off cause she seemed out of breath. She started coughing a lot and I became scared. We left and headed for home but I thought about taking her to the Dr. She said her throat hurt but not her chest. By the time we came home she said she was alright. Then last Sunday she was outside jumping rope and she started coughing again, this time I took her to the fast track at the Emergency room and she sneezed a few times we were in there and she sounded as if she was going to cough up some stuff. By the time the ER Dr. saw her she was wheezing a little he said. He gave me Albuterol and told me to follow up with her Dr., he said she had Excersised Induced Asthma. It happeded again after she was riding her bike and I asked her to desribe what was happening to her. She said that her throat itched alot. She didn't say anything about her chest. The thing that got me was now I started to think and My daughter had been Hoarse for some time now. She sounded as if she was going to lose her voice and I just chucked it off as she was getting a cold or maybe because she was just going to turn 6 that her voice was changing. I also noticed that everytime she had these "attacks" she was outside but they did allergy testing on her and said she did not have allergies. I am scared that there is more to this than what the first Dr. initially diagnosed. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
