My son has asthma and has been on Flovent and Albuteral since he was 2. We switched doctors and she suggested to try Singular. She explained that it would take a few days for the Singular to kick in. My son started taking Singular on a Friday July 16th. On Thursday July 29th He was watching T.V. and all of a sudden he was panting and said he needed his medicine. He was in the kitchen and as we were getting ready to give him his nebulizor he turned blue, lost control of his blatter and passed out. Has this happened to anyone else taking Singular. We took him off the medicine that day and he only had one more attack like that. He was rushed to the emergency room and they couldn't find anything wrong with him. He was also taken to Childrens hospital for an EEG and it came back fine. I can only believe it was from the Singular. It was very scary to see and I don't want this to happen to anyone else.

no problems,,,but I'm also 39 years old.

When my doctor switched me to singular I had similar problems it turned out I was allergic to the medication and the doctor switched me to something else. watch his peak flows carefully and talk to the doctor about it.
