| Re: Need an advise on my 3 years old son's asthma
Hi,
Sorry bout your son's asthma illness and allergies. Yes, sounds like allergies are probably the culprits. Have you had him tested for allergies yet? Chances are if the culprit can be isolated maybe you'll have some luck eliminating it so he isn't in a constant asthma attack.
I'm not really familiar with the LA area so I can't give you the name of a physician in your local area. However, in my experience [ removed ] I'd recommend you try to locate a board certified pediatric pulmonologist as soon as possible. If your son is already wheezing and has rumbling in his chest he should probably see a physican trained in this specialty very soon if at all possible.
Also you may wish to ask the physician at which hospital do they have physician privlidges at. You'll definitely prefer a pediatric pulmonologist (board certified) that can treat your son in a hospital that's close to home if it ever comes to that. Knowing in advance may also save you from having issues with insurance issues later on.
That's really the best physician for an asthma problem, specifically for a child. Often times a pediatric pulmonologist will refer you to an allergist that is used to working with little children and will help insure that your son gets good thorough testing to help isolate the culprit allergen.
If it were my child, I'd find a pediatric pulmonologist Mui Pronto. I'm not trying to alarm you, it's just that when it comes to a small child, you can't take any chances, especially with asthma. An asthma crisis can sit in very very quickly and when that happens, there's not a minute to spare in getting him the treatment he may need.
Best of Luck!
