I need some advice...anxiety, asthma, or heatburn, what do i have???

I'm a 24 year old, healthy (well i think i'm healthy) male who is experiencing some unusual sensations in my throat and esophagus recently. For example...in the am when i wake up, shortly after when i eat or drink, feel real bloated and like theres an air bubble in my lower throat. I pop a zantac, but doesn't seem to do the trick. Now, for the first time in my life, i was put on QVAR about a month ago for seasonal allergies, i don't have the shortness of breath anymore, but am still taking the inhaler once every other day. On the days that i take the QVAR, like today, the bloating sensation goes away, but now i'm experiencing this tightening in the front of my throat, near the adams apple. And if i look up or turn my neck the tightening seems worse. About a month ago I stopped drinking caffeine, and stopped popping 3 hydroxycuts once a day before my workout. Whats wrong??? Is it anxiety, asthma (even though i don't weeze or have shortness of breathe), or something like GERD??? Help!!!

QVAR is one of those medicines that you should be taking every day, since it's designed as a preventer-type drug that will keep a constant level of control. It isn't meant to be used intermittently and you probably won't get as good of results with it if you use it intermittently.

I know sometimes when I'm getting sick and my lymph nodes swell, it's like there's some centralized around my larynx that seem to make it feel tight around there.

In all likelihood, you're asking for a diagnosis, and nobody can give you that without examining you personally and taking a history and suchlike. So your best bet really is to go talk to your doctor who can have a good look and order whatever relevant tests are necessary.

Happy hunting.
