you sound like me last year. When your asthma is controlled, the coughing will stop. at night, I used to take Benadryl to help me sleep & calm the allergy induced cough. That or if things were really bad, Robutussin w/ codeine at night. During the day I could take Tessalon perles which helped considerably for the cough. Also was taking Advair 500/50 & Singulair daily, along with Clarinex in the mornings & Flonase in the mornings. If you could take it before you go to bed that would be best so you don't get post nasal drip at night which aggravates a cough. I couldn't do it.. my sinuses hurt when I wake up hehe. Running a warm humidifier in my room REALLY helped loosen up my cough. Honestly, in the end it appeared to have been a stint of chronic bronchitis b/c I had been coughing constantly for months & finally the right antibiotic kicked it. I don't find albuterol helps. well hope you find some relief
