I have a real stumper for you -- for the last 2 to 3 years I have been on Advair 250/50 & about 20 mos ago I developed a lump in my throat, about where an adam's apple would be and it has grown to the size of a walnut, and is starting to bother me when I swallow. I've asked my MD about it, but he said as long as it isn't painful that it probably isn't anything serious.
Does anybody think it could be related to the advair? I did get thrush this year and even lost my voice for a few days because of it. I should probably mention that I have a tooth infection which will be taken care of with a root canal, and have had a few cavities filled this year too. Has anybody else had any kind of cyst or swollen gland problem at all, and should I stop taking advair until I get my oral infection taken care of?

Hhhmmm,,,can't help ya out. I've been on Advair for about 8 months now with no problems. When it comes to a lump of any kind,,,I don't think I would be ok with just brushing it off,,,I'd want to know why it was there and what is was. Probably nothing to be concerned about,,,but I'd want to make sure.

Well first off Hi Neighbor! I am in Colonial Heights, Va second off never heard of that as a side effect of Advair and I am on 100/50 and dont seem to have any side effects. I do have a lump in my throat or the feeling of one but that could be from my anxiety. Sorry I am really no help...
I'm on advair as well, 250/50 and I haven't had any issues in the 3 years I've been on it. But I remember my doctor saying something about Advair being able to cause a fungus in the mouth/throat so maybe thats it?
I don't know what to tell you, I'd ask my doctor for a better explaintion than if its not painful its not serious though, at least I'd want to know what it is in my throat!
