I have had asthma about 7 years now and it only got worse then ever this year, I have been put on all kinds of meds this year, and gotten a nebulizer. My most annoying symptom for about 6 months now is a constant cough. It is always there and I clear my throat constantly. I do not necessarily have a hard time breathing, I just feel like so much mucous is in my throat for no reason. I take singulair and Advair and of course Albuterol. Anybody have this problem? I am a college student and cough through every class, I get alotta weird looks. I also try to snuggle with my boyfriend, b ut i just keep on coughing. WHAT DO I DO???? HELP!!! This is affecting my whole life!
constant coughing can be symptom of worsening asthma. It may be worth seeing your Dr or asthma nurse as there my be an extra treatment they can add in or increase the dose of your meds.
You could also try nebbing with sterile saline solution as that can help loosen any gunk on your chest without extra meds. I think there is something called mucomist that gets rid of excess mucus which you can put in your neb too, but I haev never tried it.
Hope that helps

Thanks bluebanana. My boyfriend keeps telling me to see a dr. about it. I am currently taking a nasal spray, it doesn't seem to work, but I plan to see a dr. at some point. I am just getting so annoyed with it!
I'd go see a doc,,,there is no reason for feeling so bad!!!
I know my doc gives me a musus reducer when I'm in a flare,,,makes a big difference for me.
Hope you're feeling better!
