Here are my other symptoms nails turning blueish shaky, lips and fingers feeling weird and feeling blood flow, dizziness, achey, sleeping everything especially feet, throat felt tight, and rib pains. My doctor said that i had a sinus infection, then bronchitis, then pnemonia in two months i have been there 13 times in the past 3 months aswell. Well anyways it kills to breathe right now and im in so much pain. My peak flow is down to 250 its normally 400-350-or 450 once i was up to 700. Last time I had these types of symptoms I was at school and my professor called 911. I was upset at first, then happy he called. I really needed it. My pulse ox was in the 70s by the time they got there. You really need to wake your parents up and go to the ER. Even if it is nothing, better safe then not.
k i did that i just feel really odd and its weird to walk do u have a sn so we dont have to keep doing this bk and forth im going to bed just to let all of u know ill up date tomorrow thax

If you are having breathing problems, always- always- always notify your parents first.
Dont' worry about waking them up for this reason. The consequences of a bad asthma attack are not good- and your parents are there to help take care of you.
My child was in and out of the ER as a young child- and let me tell you, I wanted to know at the first sign if he was having any problems. It is better to get it taken care of when the symptoms are just minor instead of waiting until a major attack.
Please take care of yourself and let your parents do the same.
i told my mom this morning and she said that i should remember all of my signs and tell the dr. on monday. my chest hurts really bad right now but thats about it. thx
Hi,
I really hope you come back to read this. When I was at school I had the worst asthma of anyone I know. It really affected my whole life and participation in sports. Recently my Dad was given a newish inhaler called Seretide. He swore by it and went on at me to try it. At first I refused saying I had my own personalised medication from my Specialist but he went on and on and eventually I took one squirt. Well from 40+ ventolin squirts a day I now would barely take one. Before, I couldn't walk to the end of my driveway, now I can walk round the block! I JUST WISH I HAD BEEN GIVEN THIS SOONER. I feel like I've got my life back.
P.S. Apparently docs are reluctant to give this out on prescription as it is quite expensive - persist!!

Do you have a nebulizer? I would take a treatment with albueterol. Even if you don't, you may be able to go to your doctor's office, and they will let you.
As a mother myself, I don't understand why your mother doesn't just take you to the emergency room. Even if you don't have insurance, most hospitals are required to treat you. If your symptoms are as bad as you say, you yourself should call 911 or whatever emergency number exists in your area and get them to take you to the hospital. I would hate to think you are going to be in serious medical trouble because no one is taking you seriously. This forum is useful for advice, but the only people who can help you in a medical emergency are medical personnel. Pick up that phone!
i understand wat ur saying. tomorrow like i said i will have to call my specialist and now complain that im really really congested but my fever finally broke. YES i ever was bad enough i know my mom would take me to the er i have been immedeted when i was young for asthma so my mom probably knows wats bad. umm th dr.'s i dont get they take me seriously but they dont understand how bad i get at points in time heres how i put it ive never missed a day of school this year even with me on all of these drugs and side effects and the illness of course going to the dr.'s telling me to stay home be no ive gone to school the teachers are afraid to push me to hard cuase of my condition they just let me sit and listen. well on friday i missed school shocker. i know thats how bad i was. the dr.'s just couldnt get me in and at the time my only symptom was a fever and a little coughing over the weekend it has gotten worse just to let u know . any advice or calming me down stories.
regionals18~ I am 24 years old and have very severe asthma. I take 500mg of advair and also take albuterol and prednisone. I started getting a bad cough on Wednesday by Thursday I couldn't breath by Friday I was so bad that my mom made me go to the Er. My pulse ox was not low it was 95. I had a fever of 103.6 was super congested and had horrible pain in my chest. It turned out that I had severe bronchitis and a possible pneumonia. All your symptoms sound like mine and also when you have asthma you are more prone to get upper respiratory infection and even bronchitis and pneumonia I would ask the dr if you can possibly be having any of those things. Well hope you feel better!
