weather and asthma

I personally believe that asthma and weather go hand in hand, though, of course, there are so many other asthma triggers such as pollens, chemical substances, roach droppings and animal dander etc.
Humid weather always affects my asthma, probably because it promotes mold growth.
On the other hand, some people say dry air triggers asthma attacks, probably due to dead mites. Some people like humidifier but others dehumidifier.
Also, some reports say that air pressure could affect asthma.
When your asthma worsens?

Re: weather and asthma

Humidity gets me sometimes (i.e. hot showers). Cold air does sometimes, but then again...sometimes I breathe worse inside then I do out in the cold. :P lol

Re: weather and asthma

ugh these past few days have been a little bad, mainly mornings & nights. I wake up and have to hack up a bunch of mucuos for about an hour then my cough goes dry and deep then after some albuterol gets better hehe. It's rainy & semi warm(40s)here in IL. Something about this weather, muggy and rainy doesn't agree with me. My sinuses have been hurting too, my throat & ears... ugh. Oh well what can you do. Moving soon anyways.

Blondee15~
I too live in Il and the weather lately has made my allergies worse. I have been really really bad. I can barely breath and have tightness in my chest my flow peak is 250. I normally am In the 400 area. I have taken my albuterol and Advair and nothing has worked. I am gonna go to the Hospita tomorrow if It dont get better.I just wanted to say that the weather affects the asthma.
