Hi my treatment is becotide 250 one puff once a day....tried 2 puffs but makes no difference.

Now my peak is 720 after ventolin...and thruout time it decreases and decreases to 600ish and i feel very wheezy and short of breath...I have to use ventolin twice a day (depending on activity i can go 12 hrs without but my peak will be down do 600) i dont cough but feel mucus in my throat...the asthma nurse says continue on the treatment and only change it if you use the ventolin like 6 times a day....does that sound ok to you???...I know at my age/height i should be 620 peak but at that i need ventolin

Wow! Wush my peak flow was anywhere near that high! Actually, I am on one puff once a day of Flovent. When I start having problems and having to use the albuterol during normal activity, I increase the Flovent to 2 puffs twice a day. That seems to do it for me after a day or two. Normally I only use the Albuterol before jogging or mowing the grass. So if I need it any other times, I use it and up the Flovent till I don't need the albuterol any more. I'm 5'2", 107, 59 year old female and my peak flow (pre albuterol) is about 375...
