Hi there. I'm having problems with my Asthma at the moment and keep having "gasping attacks" as well as wheezing episodes out of the blue. I've just finished a course of antibiotics which have nearly cleared up a horrible cough I had for 2 weeks due to the Flu.
I was given Singulair 10mg by my doctor. I take one table once a day at bedtime. I haven't been on this medication before. I'm currently on Ventolin, Beclazone and Seretide and now Singulair 10mg. I started taking Singulair last Monday and I haven't noticed any change at all. Should I of noticed a change by now and some improvement? My doctor wants me to try Singulair for 2 months and then go back to her but I'm not sure if I should wait this long because it isn't working?
Yes, it will take that long to tell if it's doing any good. It doesn't help everyone but it certainly does help some people. One week is not nearly long enough to tell.
Ok thank you for clearing that up for me. I wasn't sure how long it took befoe it worked because my previous medication usually "kicked in" within a few hours to a few days max. Thank you.
Do you take your Singulair with or without water? I take it without water. I just put it in my mouth and chew it. Can that make the singulair less effective?
