Asthma? - Asthma Message Board

When my son was around 2 he woke up in the middle of the night barely able to breath.He was given a breathing treatment.He is now 6 he hasn't had anything like that again but he does a lot of coughing. Is this asthma?

It can be yes. My kids didn't start wheezing like asthmatics until they were over 10. My younger ones still just cough. I would get it checked.

Yes i took him today.She precscribed albuterol for him to use. So hopefully this will help.Thanks
