Does anyone else with asthma - Asthma Message Board

seem to get sicker than the average person and take longer to recover? I have a virus that I'm on day 5. I've missed 3 days of work and am exhausted. My step son had the same thing and was sick like 4 days. I'm wondering why I'm sicker?

Ask your doctor about this but mine has instructed me as soon as I feel a cold or other respiratory infection/problem coming on to double my daily Flovent dose...and continue until the symptoms subside. I rarely have these types of issues but when I have, I have done as instructed and it made all the difference in the world. Check with your physician.

Yea he a gave me asmanex (sp?) because I'm only partway thru my inhaler but I'm wondering do you stay sick longer?
