I'm pretty newly diagnosed and don't suffer terrible sob, my big symptom is the cough that wouldn't go away until advair. Did great for 3 weeks. Did some travelling for work and came home and got really sick, fever of 102, felt like I'd been run over by a truck, cough that went ALL night long. Called the pulmonologist, he put me on a secondary inhaler, and gave me tessalon perle and robitussin with codeine. Well I think the second inhaler and the cough syrup did the most. But here I am -8 days later, coughing during the day and night, used up cough syrup, spilled some , and took dosage during the day when I was home

so I called about them increasing the dosage so the stupid insurance company will pay for it and they call in the same thing. So in summary my cough is not gone yet. Hopefully I'll get back to where I was before getting sick. Until the past few years I've exercised for a lot of my life so with also a history of a neck fracture, I'm thinking of elliptical machine and trying to learn more about pilates. Wondering what other people do. Wow those of you who have sob frequently have my respect, I felt like I had a weight on my chest for days and I hated it.
Oh one more question, is your asthma managed by your pcp or a specialist?
