breathing in the heat and humidity. I had gotten to work the other day and had trouble breathing. Finally seemed so out of it did the albuterol and I felt better and it seems Stress could be a trigger and/or heat and humidity. Today was even hotter and more humid, I felt that pain in the back of my chest again, I could breathe but I was getting more and more uncomfortable. My dh put in the air and that seemed to help and never did the inhaler. Its just odd, running humidifiers in the winter, possiblly heat and humidity as a trigger. It still feels like it came out of nowhere. The good side of all this was when I was sick for two weeks I went to a convenient care and found my new pcp, the dr who happened to see me was great!

yes! I have had a terrible time with my asthma since the weather changed! I take Singulair every day but still use my inhaler about 4 times a day! My asthma is pretty much under control in the cooler months, but as soon as it turns hot, that's it! I live in the south also and the heat down here gets pretty intense.

Oddly enough, cold weather does me in. I'm a jogger and have to wear a bandana in cold weather so that I don;t inhale such cold air.

I had my first ashtma attack last summer in July. Summer is finally here in North Carolina and I have had problems the last few days. I did ask my asthma doctor about it starting over the summer (i thought my asthma was strictly from allergies) and he said yes, heat and humidity can play a big role in asthma.

If you watch your local news they will tell you if it is a bad ozone day for people with respritory problems.

Our family just returned from a little trip to Little Rock, Arkansas,and it was very humid there. The air was so heavy you could cut it with a knife!I had to use my inhaler as soon as we got there and checked in. It felt so much better when I was in an air conditioned room. So yes, it definitely bothers me!
