The answer;
Yes. IF the oxygen supply to the brain drops to low from a severe asthma attack you can have a seizure. Your blood oxygen levels would have to drop to below 70/60's.
Are you having seizures? What symptoms have you been having that makes you think you might be having asthma? Remember, there are other lung problems you can get from smoking such as COPD/emphysema, cancer, etc...
If you ARE having seizures, you might just have seizure disorder in which case you would need to see a neurologist to have it checked to be sure.
Grand Mal Seizures would cause asphyxiation but you would also not know what's going on till you came out of the seizure. Most of the time, most people don't recall what just happened when they have this type of seizure. Anyway, if you're smoking as much as you have been then you gotta think... Your lungs are going to be filled with tar & mucus.. 3 packs... You could just be feeling like your drowning in fluids. See a Dr either way and no joke... Lay off the smokes.. Ask the Dr to write you a prescription for the nicotrol inhaler. That will help you to stop smoking. Good luck & take care....
