so ive found out ive got asthma

i was just wondering, when my inhaler has run out do i make another appointment with the doctor? thanks

You don't want your inhaler to run out. You don't want to be without your inhaler if you have an attack. So if you need to see the dr to get refills, then do it before you run out. Most of the metered dose inhalers (in the UK people seem to call them the brown or blue one) have 200 puffs, so around 100 average uses.

I don't know about in the UK but in the US we usually go every six months and we get prescriptions with enough refills to make the 6 month mark.
