asthma or ears?

I hope someone can help me with this question
I suffer from allergies and bronquitis during a bout with the flue
I use 2 different types of peakflows an allersearch vtal ograph , it is a flat green peakfow with a small mouthpeice on that i blow 500 to 600 Unless i have asthma then i blow 450 to 500
i bought another round one with a big mouth peice but they claim it is for the elderly or children ( how the elderly could possibly hold the big mouthpeice in their mouth is beyond me ), it is called breath alert. and i only get 270 to 300 on it, the mouth peice is just too big and my teeth get in the road
how can there be such a different reading for these two peakflows
I had a spirometer test that said i have ab ove average lung capacity for my age, i am 54 and weigh 45 killos and am 4ft 11' tall
.Now to second question, lol, When it is raining my ears block up and i get a restricted feeling in my throat and chest , as soon as it stops raining and returns to sunny skies i then get a buzzing tingling feeling in my ears and throat, it is almost like my ears are clearing the blocked feeling into my throat
, i feel parched and restricted somehow but my peakflows are still up
I really feel its my eustation tubes causing most of my problems,
any suggestions or advice would be appreciated
