My son was born 11-16-07 and since january first he started coming down with this cough the same time my daughter had an asthma attack from smoke when some one got around her unexpectedly. She is 2 yrs old and was prescribed pulmicort, albueterol, trivent, singular and predisone for 5 days. The only thing that worked within the day with the constant coughing was the predisone. Which was like a miracle medicine because for 4 months straight she was sick and the pediatrician didnt understand?
Now my son who will be 6 months on may 16th of this year has been coughing non stop since january and at 2 months old, when he went in fr his shots the 2 doctors said it was formula building up at 4 months he went back for shots and the other pediatrician said he was wheezing and sounded as if he has asthma and asked why i didnt bring him in earlier and i told him because the other peds said it wasnt asthma which i figured it was because my daughter, myself, my father grandfather, brother etc all have it seriiously.
Anyways now he is on pulmicort like my daughter and ALB, he is taking Tri-vent which doesnt seem to work to me it seems to be WORSE.. i wanted to know if he is to young to be prescribed predisone?? since he is under a year??? nothing is working and its just getting worse, just like my daughters? what should i DO?!
