I doubt any of you remember me posting here back in February/March time when a particularly bad chest cold made what I thought was asthma, really bad and scary!!
I finally [yes 2 months later] got a diagnosis. I do in fact have mild asthma and I have a rescue inhaler for when I need it. I've probably had it my whole life and I've only just got a diagnosis! The weather is warm here atm so I haven't got any symptoms apart from when I wake up in the mornings [it's exercise that triggers it but it's only really bad when I go from cold air to warm air].
Anyway I've rambled but I thought I'd do an update. It's a relief to finally have a diagnosis, and the fact it's only mild is good too.
I know exactly how you feel. I just got my diagnosis the other day too and words cant describe how great it is to have a name for what i have after suffering with this more & more over the past year ( i also think i have had it awhile but it has been at its worst over the last few months & weeks-my primary care shrugged it off because I wasnt "wheezing" but when I went to an allergist for the first time the other day and she finally gave me an answer to this mystery I was very relieved.
