Asmanex side effects - Asthma Message Board

My Dr recently diagnosed me with asthma. After almost a month I noticed that I was very tried and when I didn't take the Asmanex I felt fine. If I don't take it though all my symptoms start to some back. I am also on Singular for allergies and a rescue inhaler. Has anyone else had tiredness from asmanex?

I do suffer from tiredness, but I can't say if my tiredness is from Asmanex or not as I'm on a lot of drugs for other things. But remember that Asmanex is a steroid and steroids can cause depression (read the paper, with the fine print, that comes with it. It says depression can be a side effect.) Which could be part of why you are feeling tired. Talk to your doctor. You may be able to find another drug that works for you or add something to help with the tiredness. Or call the doctor's office and tell them what is up and how you are feeling.

But remember, never stop your medication without talking to your doctor first.

Thank you so much for responding. I am feeling so much better now. I too am on other meds. I went off my birth control pill due to other problems it was causing and I think that is helping me feel better. I also have added vitamin B to my diet. I do suffer from depression already and I am on Lexapro for that and have been for almost a year now. So it could be partly from that too. Once again, thank you for responding.
