Allergic to trees -- allergic to wood?
If you get a result that says you are allergic to "oak" I assume that is pollen but are you also allergic to the wood? And further, would it only be when it was burning or would just having oak logs in a log bin next to a fireplace cause an allergic reaction to someone allergic to "oak?"

It would just be the pollen - the wood itself shouldn't be an issue (in any form).
