It depends on the symptoms. It is a good idea to keep a diary of either attack so they can be analysed by the doctor. An asthma attack affects your ability to breath properly.
Panic attacks are sudden, discrete periods of intense anxiety, mounting physiological arousal, fear and discomfort that are associated with a variety of somatic and congnitve symptoms. The onset of these episodes is typically abrupt, and may have no obvious triggers. The panic attack gives you that scarce feeling that causes hyperventilating or shortness of breath. Goodluck =]
