| RSV, Croup, Asthma... so we switched to soy and now he seems constipated! Help!!
My son is 6 months old and has been sick for quite some time now. He also attends a daycare that had 12 other infants. They are one of the best daycare facilities I could find. Yet since taking him he has has pinkeye, two seperate ear infections, rotovirus, RSV, Croup then RSV again and was diagnosed with Asthma and then pneumonia. AGGHG.. Recently we have switched him to Soy as I have read that could help with the wheezing due to the milk-less base. Our ped didn't seem to think that would help, but I believe that it has since his wheezing is at a minimal. Yet he also is being wheened off of predisone (spelling ?) and still in on a breathing treatment of budesonide and albuteral (as needed). Over the past few days his stools have been very solid. I am now worried that the soy has made him constipated. Should I lt him get used to the soy or go back to similac advanced?
I have tried gripe water as well as prunes and haven't had much of a change. Yet I don't want to give him too much or change his formula back as I know that it takes a bit for his little body to get use to it..
Any help/insight would be great!
