Does anyone know if Roman Catholics are against getting their children immunized? I looking for a way to get around getting my unborn child immunized, expecially since my two older children have autism. Thank you.

The only religion that I can think of is Christian Scientist. I think but not positive that Roman Catholics vaccinate....at least my friend does who is that religion.

With 2 kids being diagnosed with autism, is it possible your pediatrician would sign an exemption for you? That should be accepted in your state. Did either of your other kids have bad reactions after any of the vaccinations?

My husband and I can't recall them having any bad reactions to the immunizations, but at the time we were clueless that they could be harmful. We just don't want to take a chance that they might have been what caused their autism.

I hope I can get a medical exemption, but from what I've heard their really hard to get.

Perhaps it depends on the state or region you are in, how hard it is to get an exemption.

After my little brother cried all afternoon after a round of vaccinations, they immediately granted my family an extemption from any further vaccinations.

It would seem since so many people believe there is a strong link between autism and vaccinations, that a doctor would understand. At least, I would hope.
