Thank you so much for the idea of putting my DD in the high-chair to read a book. She never wants to read with me - only alone. Today, I put her in the chair, - I asked her " where is the kitty cat?" (she never points) first, she took my finger and put it to the kitty cat - then the same with the dog. I didn't even think she could tell what a kitty or a dog was - then, she pointed herself - we did this for about 10 minutes! I was so happy to have her attention for so long, then she was over it - but at least she is starting to point - I plan on doing this with her everyday.
