Well, the MRI wasn't a waste! I found out he has sinusitis for one thing, mild on right severe on left. I had no idea-he claims his brain hurts sometimes, but it's just a passing comment. He starts antibiotics tonite. They also said he has a Chiari malformation-this one will take some research, don't know what it is or what, if anything, can be done. Other than that there's no abnormalities.

Hi CFB.I can see why your son was complaining of headache.The doctor never suspected a chiari malformation before the recent MRI?I read your other post about the bump on side of his head and his head shape.This wasnt a past concern.What raised the question for the doctor now to do MRI is this a different Doctor.Yes something can be done with a chiari malformation.Its routine. Doctor didnt talk to you about this!My best to your son keep us posted
