15 yr old with As - Autism Spectrum Message Board

I have a 15 yr old son having signs of AS for yrs. Finally after all these yrs I'm getting some answers. Going to get him a thorough testing on Mar 1. I'm very relieved to know I'm not alone. I have been searching for answers for his odd behaviors since he was 2. What meds are usually prescribed for this?
He is being treaded now for ADD and ADHD. Meds are constantly being increased. Any suggestions are welcome.

Meds are prescribed for individual symptoms- there are no meds for AS.

So far we've been fortunate that my son has not needed medication. He's 18. We spoke to a doctor about anxiety meds, but she felt that just working with him on how to deal with decision making as he get older is enough. So far he's doing well.

Hi, my son is turning 14 next week. Bet we could be more helpful if you explained more of your sons behaviors and symptoms. Is he in high school now and how is that going. I think school is so challenging for these guys. My son still has a one on one and mainstreams about 4 classes. -meme
