| Re: Your Child might have a IEP if.....
IEP`S can be about as much fun as a dentist appiontment... but incase you dont realize.. they are to safegaurd your child.... and I just reciently found this out myself....an IEP can be reopened.. and things can be added to it at anytime I actually have one comming up next week... my son is branching out into I guess what you would consider kindergarden.. cept its an autistic classroom... it will still be run by the IU20 which makes me a lil nervous... my son and I havent had the best experence thus far with them..but it could be the teachers...or it could simply be that the IU20 class he was in.. wasnt designed.. for autism.. but for all general disabilitys..one thing I plan to add to my son`s IEP is..Iwant a report at the end of each school day.. even if its a line or two stating weather.. or not his day went well... or why they think his day didnt go well... its so hard guessing..I think it will be an important tool in... figuring out what works best for him...communication is key to everything... I enjoyed that email you recieved.. Im sure my lil Ryan has been the topic in meny of teachers lounges.. but Im sure it was all good...possibly even about how cute he is... and how much he resembles his momma... ok now im just daydreaming...I think the important thing to remember is your in control... dont let people in suits scare ya... lol
