This morning it was time to cut Kemp's nails, actually it was long over due!! I hate doing this cause he says boo-boo. He acts like it hurts. I know or think I know it doesn't hurt, my other (NT) kids don't cry or fuss at all. I've tried to wait till he was alsleep before but he just wakes up and then there's "hell" to pay! LOL Any suggestions on tricks or ways or things to say for him to let me? I think he doesn't like it because he doesn't like to be held. But he won't stand still either.I feel so bad for him. but I have to do it. I have also tried to file them. Doesn't work either. Please help.

I have to say I never thought of the noise thing. He is noise sensative. I have given him a chose better and he shook his head no. lol But I'm going to try and do it again. Thank you so much!

Hi,

This was also very hard for Conner until recently. One thing that worked was to put a sticker over each nail after it was clipped. I would kind of fold it over the top. I think the sensation of it being clipped bothered Conner, he would keep jamming his fingers into tight little balls. I think the stickers helped with that sensation and then he took off the stickers when he was ready to. I also let him pick fun stickers that he liked.
