I can see your point. You could ask the district if they could make other arrangements, but in most cases you get what you get. If they require different levels of support you may be able to push for a different program for one if them if possible. If not, you could certainly try to make the best of the situation.....most teachers involved with these type programs are willing to help. I know with our experences with the intergrated preschool the kids are ALWAYS broken into groups. One group does free play while another group focues on s sensory type activity, one groups goes to the PT room etc. It seems they are only all together during a structed activity like reading circle or a trip to the library in the building.
I do hope this all works out for your boys. Anyone who has more than one child, certainly that close together, knows how they can effect each other.
