hi everyone my sons annual review is coming up soon and to cut a long story short i have had lots of problems with school and dont really want to be in a room with them my question is dose it really matter if im there r not because they never listen to aword i say it is all for show there will be several people there fighting my boys corner its just afew people are making noises as if to say its disgusting that im not going im not in the right frame of mind and worry i might do or say something that i would regret because the head is so patronising and treats me ike a pupil any help wud b gud caza

perhaps you can be a part of the meeting via phone conference. you know your child best so i always think it's a good idea to be a part of the meeting. i can certainly understand the whole anxiety about being there. i just had my son's meeting and have made a few new enemies. it bothered me at first but at the end of the day it's about getting the right services for my son.

administrators and teachers sometimes take things personally but it's not about them. it's about your son.

hi thanx for your input making enemies seems to be par for the course it really should not be like this im looking into the phone thing

Caza,

Did you have your meeting yet??????? Listen this is just my opinion, but GO...you have to fight for what you think is best for you and your child. I know it is different for everyone but I will be darned if I ever did not make my presence and my voice heard at these meetings. I only hope and pray it gets better for you. I have had my share of not so great teachers, BUT there are some out there....TRY and keep your head up
