Re: do autistic kids have bowel problems

They can sometimes have either leaky gut, or constipation problems and not all autistic either. My son has constipation issues and has a stool softner in the event he isn't able to go.

Re: do autistic kids have bowel problems

My son is 11 and we have always delt with constipation. We do not use stool softeners any loner. We use a carbonated beverage and popcorn. I have been told that majority of kids with autism have problems with the bowel. I am not really sure but that is what i have been told my our doc. hope this helps
