hey, my brother is getting bullied, i dont know how to help him he was being bullied in a chatroom today and i took over but im not sure if he realised they was being mean. i hate feeling like i cant protect him and just dont know how to. and dont know how it will affect him, or if he will learn from it i dont want to be over protective so that he doesnt learn.but i dont want him to get hurt.. ugh does anyone have any ideas? im really frustraited about this,i just feel helpless.

you're an awesome sister and your brother is very lucky to have you!!!!

chat rooms can be so vulnerable for sarcasm and mean comments and there's no montoring as they are in real time. you might have to explain to your brother that some people who don't feel good about themselves use the chat room to be mean and they don't even know the people they are being mean to. you also might just have to continue to monitor what is going on as it can be a free for all.

maybe encourage him to get on a message board where you can help him with his responses and comments are a lot better monitored.
