Hello, all!
My daughter, Maddie is 3 and has autism or some other PDD. She has has not been officially diagnosed, but has been through 3 million screenings. She will be starting Pre-K 3 next year and my family is moving to Shreveport, LA in the next 2-3 months. We desperatly need to find out which school districts offer the best services for kids with autism before we begin looking for a house. If anone can offer any adivice, we would be so grateful!

I think if you look up on the internet "autism society shreveport, louisiana" or "autism society northwest louisiana" you'll find contact people from the autism society in this area and they should have a wealth of information for you. when my son was little, i often contacted the local autism society to speak with contact people for advice for referrals.
Hi there,
I would call the local school districts in the area you might be moving to and talk to them about the services that are offered for young autistic children . Tell them that your child already has a diagnoses, your moving to the area and are inquiring about the programs . The school district may even allow you to make an appointment to visist some of the programs offered . I was able to do this when my child was diagnosed.
