Melatonin miracle?

Hi

Is this melatonin just too good to be true?

We have been using 3mg in the form of a spray for about 2 months, and my hf autistic 5 yo has been transformed from a little boy who had ants in his pants (pyjamas) - hyper active - banging the wall with his feet - getting out of bed about 20 times - crying for no apparent reason - and the worst bit: getting up in the middle of the night, to a little boy who sleeps 11 hours through after prayers and a good night kiss.

Phew!

I would like to hear from parents who have longer experience with using melatonin, but can this really last? What's the catch?

Re: Melatonin miracle?

I think it is what you are seeing. We used melatonin when my son was your son's age for his inability to let down and fall asleep and it helped him so much and needless to say, we all felt better the next day!!

After a few years, he didn't seem as antsy and we were able to stop it little by little but I'd reccommend it to anyone with these kinds of problems. Glad it's helping!
