My daughter is currently 9 years old, turning 10 in June. I suspect that she might have a audio sensory problem. The reason why, is that I will give her specific instructions to cary out but she never gets around doing them. I have to repeat then 3 -5 times, and then only will she get around doing them. She, however does not have problems at school. Any sugestions?

My nephew was like that. And he was ADD.

Also, auditory processing disorder can prevent instructions from being fully understood. However I would expect her to have issues at school since so much of it is INSTRUCTION day in and day out.

Sounds like motor planning also. Does she have and OT to work with? We have done Berard Auditory Integration Therapy with our son and that helped with some auditory sensory issues, but I'm wondering if what you are describing is more brain organization and an OT can help with that.
