 Focalin XR for ASD and ADHD symptoms??
My child is 5 years old and has ASD and ADHD symptoms. His doctor has put him on Focalin XR at 10mg. The doctor started with 5mg and it seemed to be working, but since the increase my son has really changed. He has always been very happy, smiling and laughing, but on focalin he acts very strange. He won't eat,play,interact or even go swimming, which is his favorite! He fixates on one thing and refuses to come out of his room or interact with anyone and if we insist it's a long crying tantrum. I have mentioned it to his doctor about my concerns, but seemed to be brushed off. If I could get some opinions that might help my family I would be more persistent in what I want for my child to his doctor. But I have nobody to talk to that understands or has any experience in this matter. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
