Haven't seen my autistic son in 18 months!
I have 5 and a half year old autistic son. Who i have not seen in a year and a half. Due to a restraining no contact order from the mother. I recently filed a petition and got awarded weekend visitation and parenting time. Tomorrow I see him for the first time in 18 months! He does not talk and has the mental ability of a 18-24 month old. Me and him had a great loving playful father son relationship. Do you think he will remember me his dad?

He seemed off In his own little world at first.. but he did remember me and everything went great.

I wish I'd seen this in time. they remember everything and there is so much more going on in their heads than they get credit for. I'm so glad to hear that it all went well!
