PCA services child w/ autism?

Does anyone receive PCA services for their child with autism? If so what does your PCA do? My son is almost 3 and is certified disabled through the state for Autism Spectrum Disorder & expressive and receptive language disorder. When I called the county and was talking about his needs (saying self injuring behavior doing it to others needs to be monitored constantly ect) they said that they more focus on his physical needs. Obviously being slightly under 3 he can't do much but he's at about a 6-8 month level on his physical care skills, brushing teeth, bathing, eating, ect. I guess if you could share what your PCA does or if you applied and were denied or what the process was that would be great! Thanks!!
