Autism specialist--is it worth the travel? you think?
I'm just looking for a real live person who's taken their child with ASD to Dr. Goldberg in CA. In my research so far, he's great. Just trying to gain more insight into the NIDS treatment from parents before going through a costly venture to see this doctor.
Re: Autism specialist--is it worth the travel? you think?
Did you ever make it there? I haven't been on these boards in ages, so I just saw your post. Here we are lucky with services. Our kids get waiver funds (long wait list now tho) to cover various therapies. Wisconsin also has a insurance mandate that covers autism treatment. Our insurance is a federally mandated insurance, so it pays nothing, but my boys all already are on the waivers.
