Possibly some sort of stim or self regulation? She's not concerned he was having a seizure, is she? I don't know what you should expect with puberty coming on. My boys are all on the spectrum...18, 16 and 11. I didn't notice anything with my 18 or 11 year old. My middle son, and the lowest functioning, seems to have a penchant for porn. His pediatrician about had a heart attack when I told him that "D" was watching porn. He told him to stop, that it was bad. I had to disagree with him on that one. I don't have any "typical" kids of my own to compare him to, but I have plenty of friends and family member that have gone through puberty with their boys. From what I gather, a lot of these kids are sneaking and watching it. The difference is that they know not to do it in front of their parents. When "D" starts, I tell him to take his computer to his room. Now that I think about it, maybe my other kids did do it and hide it from me. Hmmmmmm. Other than that, it's been a lot easier than I thought it would be.
