Explaining to son

I am a single father of a 20 year old fairly high functioning autustic son. Besides the everyday worry of what will happen one day(I am 53), when should I try to explain to him he will have to try and take care of himself one day without making him worry. I feel he needs to know. Financially, I am trying to make sure he is secure, but the day to day life is what I worry about.

Re: Explaining to son

Hi, I was thinking of getting a counselor involved. Whether it be you or both of you. Just a thought. Plus, I imagine you would have an executor of the estate besides your son, perhaps another younger family member to help him out if needed. Cathy
