I have heard ENTs and dentists do it. Ha, my dentist didn't even know what sjogren's is. Scary. I want to have the biopsy done but my rheumotologist siad within my HMO practice no one is qualified to do it. I hope when we switch insurances I can get one done. It is important to have someone know what they are doing or the results won't be accurate.

neveragain444...I feel ya on the rhumey tip, mine is lacking to say the least as well. As for my daughter though, hers are amazing. My daughter had a biopsy done in their office same day without prescheduling or anything and they results were back in 2 weeks. The results were conclusive and gave us so much information. My best friend's daughter had one as well with her rhumey in office and this gave them definitive answers in about 2 wks as well. Knowing how easy it was for both these biopsies to be done, seems like it would have been easy for your DR to take care of as well....after all you're a paying customer, right? Could you contact your general practitioner?
