joint/muscle pain

What are some ways everyone else copes with this? My Dr gives my hydrocodone and naproxin. They dont work very well. My legs are what bother me the most. I have a hard time keeping them still especially when trying to sleep at night. I use a heating pad a lot but with the weather getting warmer I cant use it at night when I sleep.
Any one have any good tips?
