Is Neurocardiogenic syncope the same as "POTS"?
My daughter was diagnosed with Neurocardiogenic syncope about a year ago, she has been on Florinef since last Aug and was doing much better, but she has started getting worse again to where she has missed a lot of school ( mainly in the mornings) and also her work .Prior to this diagnosis she has had ongoing health concerns for years. Headaches, Irritable Bowl, Bladder spasms, chronic muscle pains, nausea, and more. She has had to deal with lots of tests and they diagnosed her with Fibromyalgia ( i feel cause they can't find anything else)
In the mornings she goes for her shower and most of the time ends up laying on the floor as she is about to faint or throw up ( she knows when its happening now so she is able to lie down before it happens) she has to go back to sleep for a couple hours before it helps, she is left feeling blah and no energy the rest of the day tho. She is very frustrated cause she is fed up feeling crappy. When she goes from lying to standing her blood pressure drops and her pulse increases rapidly. I have read some things online and to us it seems she has more symptoms of "POTS". I asked her doctor about this before and he said they are all much the same. Am i overreacting about a proper diagnosis between Neurocardiogenic Syncope and "POTS" ??
