Hi, I've been diagnosed with Hashimoto's and Adrenal Insufficiency. I would love to know how Adrenal Insufficiency is treated prior to my appointment with my alternative doctor. Also, are there specific vitamins or supplements that people with an autoimmune disorder should be taking? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
It (they) is/are treated by replacement of the hormone(s) you are not producing yourself. That part is pretty straight forward, it's the fine tuning of the levels that can be tiresome. And you can have your vitamin D levels checked by a simple blood test as many people with AI diseases are insufficient in that one, probably because so many are sun sensitive.
