| Unexplained rash for over 4 years.
Not sure if anyone can give me some insight into this. I have had a rash on my right breast for over four years. It has varied anywhere from the size of a nickle, to the size of a couple silver dollars in size. Right now it's on the larger size. It's been in the same general area, but does move around in this area. I've seen two regular doctors, and two dermatologists in this time period. Had two biopsies, several mammograms, an allergy skin test...nothing. The only thing they can tell me it's a skin irritation of some kind.
It is very itchy, red...worse on the itchiness in the morning. In this time period it did go away for about 6 months, only to return. When it first appeared my breast ached for several days prior to the first appearance of the rash. It started as a tiny red dot and just slow grew till it was about two inches in diameter. It's a tad scaly, and dry.
A friend of mine suggested it is something autoimmume related. Right now, going to a specialist is just not something I can afford. I have very poor insurance.
I just thought I'd ask this hear...mainly to see if anyone else has ever experienced anything like this. I'm 48 and this rash started about 4 years ago.
Thanks, Jodi
