possible multiple autoimmune diseases

I know I have GERD and trigger thumbs. My feet turn dark and get very cold. Sounds like I have Raynauds phemomenon. I have some remaing severe hot flashes on high doses of estrogen. I am losing my hair on head, eyebrows and eyelashes.

What do you think this all is?

Sounds like thyroid to me. Has it been checked?

Re: possible multiple autoimmune diseases

You are welcome. Keep us posted, your symptoms sound so much like mine. I have Hashimoto's disease and had my thyroid removed a couple of years ago.

While you are seeing DR and getting labs done, I would also ask for an ANA for lupus and anti-thyroid antibodies for Hashimoto's thyroiditis. It does sound like Raynauds which can exist by itself or be accompanies by autoimmune disorders.

Re: possible multiple autoimmune diseases

Oh. I am sorry you had to have your thyroid removed. My daughter, who is now 40 had to have her thyroid removed when she was 18.

Hope you are doing okay now. I will have to look up your symptoms. I have been so busy trying to figure out what is wrong with me, I haven't seeen your profile.

Re: possible multiple autoimmune diseases

I'm doing better now, but removing the thyroid doesn't cure the disease. I can say that most days I feel well, at least much better than before the surgery. Let us know what you find out.
