ANA has been 1:1260 for the last 10 months.
Had a ANA W/Reflex done last week and it came back negative.
This makes no sense to me. I had it retested thinking it would be
higher because I have actually been much sicker.
I am taking 10 mg of presidone a day. Boy it makes me mean and hungry. I hate it. I have also been getting one shot of Kellogg one per month when the pain gets out of control.
Yes, ANA titres can fluctuate. The meaning depends on what Autoimmune disease you have. I am just a patient, though so always check with your Dr. I believe that the titre rises in lupus just before or at the start of a flair. In scleroderma, the levels don't seem to correlate to disease activity, so ANA's aren't measured after diagnosis, for the most part. These are just 2 examples.
EI am get to be given any diagnosis. Just minimizing sympyoms including excursating pain.. treating hypothyroidism hoping once that is finally under control see what pain and stptoms left. Diseases seem to mimic one another and/or coexist
